Springbok legend, Bryan Habana has announced that the current season will be his last in professional rugby.
The 34-year old has been plying his trade at French Top 14 outfit, Toulon and has spent much of the current campaign in the sidelines as he has been plagued with injuries, which have seen him not taking part in any competitive action since the start of 2018.
He made the announcement on Tuesday, as he took to social media, saying he would have preferred a better end to his career.
“I, like most, would have liked my career to have ended differently, but sometimes things don’t turn out quite the way we hope for,” he wrote.
“So at the end of this season, it’s time to say goodbye and thank you to the game I so dearly love.”
